For twenty years, Garrard Group has delivered quality construction services for projects in the retail, restaurant, office, medical, financial, faith-based, government, education, and industrial markets. Founded by Ron Garrard as a family owned and operated construction business, we have grown and expanded our offerings to also include Program Management and Real Estate Development services. This diversification, combined with the expertise and experience of our dependable team, allows us to deliver single source solutions to our clients through a positive experience unique to working with Garrard Group.

  • Ron Garrard provides solid leadership for the company’s vision, management philosophies, growth, and financial strength. He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Building and Construction and has more than thirty years of experience in construction and real estate development. Active in civic and community affairs, Ron was recently appointed to the State of Georgia Board of Economic Development by Governor Nathan Deal. He also serves on the Executive Board of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and the boards of Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful and BTCP (Bible Training Center for Pastors). He is a Charter Trustee of the Georgia Gwinnett College Foundation and a former director of the IMPACT Group, which provides quality housing solutions for the underprivileged in Gwinnett County. Ron's other community affiliations are as a charter member of North Point Community Church where he served two terms on the Building Committee and Stewardship Committee, the board of Bank of North Georgia, The Lighthouse Ministries, a family retreat for children with cancer, and the Board of the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.

  • Patty Storey has worked with Garrard Group for ten years and provides guidance in all financial matters for the company. Her expertise in accounting, risk management, budgeting, and financial statement review allows the day-to-day operations of the company to run smoothly. Previous to her employment with Garrard, Patty spent nearly 20 years as a controller. She graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and is also a CPA.

  • Scott Lindstrom provides key leadership for Garrard’s Development division, overseeing all real estate and development activities for the company. He graduated from Southern Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Development and Construction Management and has more than 20 years of experience working in real estate development and construction for national retailers like Walgreens, Family Dollar, Dollar General, Burger King, and El Pollo Loco. Scott also has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having developed more than 50 hotels for national chains such as Marriott and Jameson Inns.

  • Ernie Geyer serves in the role of Restaurant Development for Garrard, overseeing the growth and success of the restaurant and hospitality arm of the business. Ernie graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Management and ran his own residential and commercial construction business for 36 years. Ernie has worked with many of the nation's top restaurant programs, as well as many regional and chef-driven concepts throughout the Southeast.

  • Jay Wright provides direction for all aspects of Garrard’s Preconstruction department, including estimating and project management coordination. He also plays a key role in business development and marketing for the company. Jay graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Building Science and has more than 20 years of experience in construction in a variety of markets, with 17 of those as a Senior Estimator level or higher.

  • Eric Sluss works primarily with the Garrard Development team, providing insight and management expertise on construction projects from pre-development and design through owner occupancy. He has worked with Garrard for 18 years and has 30 years of experience in the construction industry in a variety of markets. Eric is also LEED AP certified by the U.S Green Building Council, and capable of managing projects requiring sustainable resources and construction methods.

  • Sandi Giller plays a vital part of the Garrard team as Human Resources Manager. She is responsible for organizational planning, performance management, employee engagement, benefits and recruiting. Sandi has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Lynchburg College and brings a wealth of experience to the company drawn from nearly twenty years of working in the real estate development and construction industry.

  • Located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, this 55,000 square foot design-build project was built as part of an existing retail center. The building, which features tilt panel walls and had to meet strenuous earthquake and hurricane zoning requirements, was constructed on time and on budget with minimal interference to neighboring retailers.

  • Located in Pooler, Georgia, this 8,000 square foot design-build project is part of a mixed-use retail center and had to be constructed with little interruption to neighboring retailers.

  • Located in Doraville, Georgia, this 165,000 square foot design-build project is a mixed use retail center anchored by grocery store, Super HMart. The project consists of three two story buildings that contain both retail and office space.

  • Located in West Columbia, South Carolina, this 44,000 square foot design-build project showcases the Harley-Davidson lifestyle in an atmosphere suited for the whole family. Its magnificent 70-foot display tower is designed to make a bold statement by being cutting-edge and providing the best possible total riding experience. Other state-of-the-art amenities include a 12,000-square-foot showroom, Harley Owner's Group (HOG) service and parts area, and Rider's Edge motorcycle course.

  • Located in Conyers, Georgia, this 35,000 square foot design-build project features a dynamically designed showroom on its interior, and an impressive helicopter landing pad on the exterior.

  • Located in Snellville, Georgia, this 36,000 square foot design-build project features an impressive showroom, full service repair center and parts department, training track, and warehouse.

  • Located in Duluth, Georgia, this 45,000-square-foot center combines three different facades to give it a unique feel with a courtyard in the middle. Comprised of two retail centers tied by an EIFS arch, McDaniel Square also contains a 10,000 square-foot, two-story restaurant that has an upstairs outdoor patio.

  • Located in Suwanee, Georgia, this mixed-use project is located on 11 developed acres situated on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard – a major North-South thoroughfare for the Atlanta metropolitan area. It contains 140,000 square feet of retail/office/ medical/condominium space and has unique design features including brick walkways and a stack stone water fountain.

  • Located in Alpharetta, Georgia, this 36,481 square foot design-build project serves as a mixed use retail center. The unique design features include an end cap restaurant topped with an open parapet, with gated patio and outdoor courtyard with a fountain.

  • Located in Cumming, Georgia, this 48,200 square foot design-build project serves as a mixed use retail center.

  • Located in Gonzalez Louisiana, this project was an exterior renovation for a national restaurant program. Other exterior projects for Outback Steakhouse  include Anderson, SC · Augusta, GA · Frisco, TX · Johnson City, TN · North Charleston, SC · West Myrtle Beach, SC.

  • Located in Holly Springs, Georgia, this 3600 square foot, ground up restaurant features structural steel, brick and stucco veneer. It also has ceramic tile floors, stained wood trim, and an extensive kitchen equipment package.

  • Located in Norcross, Georgia, this 1100 square foot renovation/addition for a national restaurant chain features high end finishes and detailed tile work. Restaurant operations remained open throughout the duration of the project.

  • Located in Atlanta, Georgia, in Buckhead's prestigious Miami Circle, this 22,000 square foot renovation project was to convert an existing industrial warehouse space into an upscale bar, bowling, and entertainment venue. The project features high end finishes including a 22 lane bowling alley, 15 foot bar with walnut finishes, full kitchen, and two custom wood-fired pizza ovens.

  • Located in Atlanta, Georgia, this project was a renovation of an existing warehouse space for a chef-driven restaurant.

  • Located in Atlanta, Georgia, this project was a renovation of an urban warehouse space in Midtown including high end finishes like an 80 foot curved counter, 30 foot wine wall, and suspended lighting fixtures.

  • Located in Duluth, Georgia, this 7500 square foot ground up project was completed for a fine dining restaurant and lounge.

  • Located in Duluth, Georgia, this 110,000 square foot design-build project is a four story, Class A office building. The building consists of multi-tenant steel with pre-cast concrete and a two story parking deck. The building is also LEED Gold certified by the U.S. Green Building Council, the first of its kind in Gwinnett County to be registered with the USGBC.

  • Located in Buford, Georgia, this development was a multi-phase project of five flex space buildings, totaling 150,000 square feet. Structural steel and a brick facade allow for a variety of uses from office/condos or retail to warehouses. The individual units range from 3,500 to 20,000 square feet with dock-high and drive-in doors available. Each build-out is customized to the owner's exact requirements.

  • Located in Roswell, Georgia, this 50,000 square foot renovation project is a two story financial building with a teller station, lobby, executive offices, and conferences. Special features include a radius glass curtain wall, skylight and high-end retail finishes, all distinguishing this financial institution from a typical "bank office." Garrard also completed nearly 15 renovation projects for Bank of North Georgia branches in Georgia and Alabama.

The building is steel construction with a brick façade, and interior features a glass curtain wall and atrium light fixtures.

  • Located in McDonough, Georgia, this 12,000 square foot design-build project is a two story financial building that includes a teller station, lobby, executive offices and conference rooms. Garrard also completed nearly 30 renovation projects for Regions Bank branches in Georgia and South Carolina.

  • Located in Buford, Georgia, this 15,500 square foot design-build project features a lobby, corporate offices, employee break room and kitchen. Unique design features include a brick façade, covered entry, and high end finishes.

  • Located in Norcross, Georgia, this 17,000 square foot design-build project serves as the corporate headquarters and office space for Office Suites Plus.

  • Located in Marietta, Georgia, this 30,000 square foot design-build project is the corporate headquarters for Infomart. The building features a lobby, conference room, multi-purpose room, executive offices, and a kitchen.

  • Located on 52 acres of land in Cumming, Georgia, this 160,000 square foot design-build project is the second satellite campus for North Point Ministries in Alpharetta, Georgia. A three-story atrium welcomes visitors to the 2,000-seat sanctuary which houses state-of-the-art audio/video facilities. The building also contains specialized learning environments, including children's and high school theaters, elementary, middle, and high school classrooms, a nursery, church offices and several resource rooms.

  • Located in Alpharetta, Georgia, North Point Community Church has allowed Garrard to complete multiple interior projects totaling over 25,000 square feet. These projects include additions to a children’s theater, a resource room, a green room, and a middle school room. The theater is an exposed structure with acoustical treatments to walls and ceiling, rear projection screens, and theatrical lighting and sound.

  • Located in Dunwoody, Georgia, this 27,000 square foot church addition included a new sanctuary, lobby, and classrooms. The church was able to remain open throughout the construction process.

  • Located in Alpharetta, Georgia, this 45,000 square foot design build project included an 800 seat sanctuary, children’s and youth theaters, kitchen, nursery, and classrooms.

  • Located in Marietta, Georgia, this 32,000 square foot renovation and addition project included a new sanctuary, fellowship hall, and classrooms. The church remained open throughout the multi-phase construction process.

  • Located in Tucker, Georgia, this 20,000 square foot interior project included the renovation of the existing sanctuary, offices, classrooms and conference room of this church. The 4,000 square foot addition project included a youth center and common area.

  • Located in Loganville, Georgia, this 25,000 square foot design-build project included a 300 seat sanctuary, lobby, youth rooms, and classrooms.

  • Located in Woodstock, Georgia, this 30,000 square foot design-build project is a two story medical facility for sports medicine specialists who provide total orthopaedic care. The facility features ambulatory surgery suites, rooms for MRI and patient examination, administrative and clinical offices, and physical therapy.

  • Located in Austell, Georgia, this 50,000 square foot design-build project is a two story medical facility for sports medicine specialists who provide total orthopaedic care.

  • Located in Acworth, Georgia, this 50,000 square foot design-build project is a multi-tenant medical office building. The two story building is comprised of steel construction with a brick façade and EIFS accents, and features rooms for MRI, X-ray, and patient examination.

  • Located in Snellville, Georgia, this 12,000 square foot design-build project serves as a doctor’s office. The building contains high-end interior finishes and millwork, an interior waterfall, and aquarium. The facility includes 12 examination rooms, x-ray rooms, labs, nurses’ stations, and doctors’ offices.

  • Located in Roswell, Georgia, this 30,000 square foot design-build project is a two-story medical office space. It features a lobby with high-end finishes including column design and an ornate staircase as well as conference rooms and office space.

  • Located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, this 7,500 square foot design-build project was for a dental care office. The building was completed with several unique design features, including columns, arched windows and entry, and dormer windows.

  • Located in Johns Creek, Georgia, this 72,000 square foot build-out project was for six medical office buildings. The tenant build-out work included areas for orthopedic surgery, physical therapy, and dental care.

  • Located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, this design-build project was commissioned by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. The 24,400 square foot Lab Classroom facility contains seven lab classrooms with lab support rooms and common areas for students. The building, which consists of brick, metal panel, stucco, and curtain wall exterior, was completed in record time and was built to Georgia Peach Green Building standards in energy efficiency and sustainable construction.

  • Located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, this design-build project was commissioned by Gwinnett County Public Schools. The 133,000 square foot, two-story building was designed for 1112 students with 70 instructional spaces including 50 full-sized classrooms, cafeteria, media center, and gymnasium.

  • Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this $52.8 million dollar project was the renovation of an existing four-story building including new interior spaces, new ceilings, lighting, painting, flooring, and the addition of restrooms to the second and third floors. The project also restored the existing auditorium to its original design, including refurbishing of the seating. The exterior façade of the building also received extensive restoration. Approximately 186,000 square feet of new space was added to include a media center, radio station, performing arts, visual arts, and black box theaters. The project also included a new gymnasium and gymnastics gym.

  • Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this nearly 95,000 square foot school project is a new two-story facility and will contain 825 students in grades pre-kindergarten to five.

  • Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this facility is a dedicated visual performing arts academic magnet school that serves approximately 700 - 750 students in grades six to eight. The new facility of approximately 115,000 square feet includes Core Academic, Media Center, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Career & Technology Education, Administration, Student Services, Student Dining, Food Service, and Custodial and Maintenance areas. During construction, Baton Rouge was impacted by two major hurricanes, Katrina and Rita. Supplies along the Gulf Coast became scarce, and the area suffered extended loss of power. The project lost workers to FEMA efforts, yet the school opened on time and at budget.

  • Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this school project was a complete renovation and modernization of a 30,693 square foot structure that was built in 1922. It also included a 46,187 square foot addition to the school site. The property had to be expropriated and a street was relocated in order to build the addition portion of the school where the original street had been. The purchase of surrounding properties had to be negotiated and finalized to allow for this expansion. The new school consists of 36 classrooms, state of the art media center and computer lab, and a large multi-purpose area with a stage.

  • Located in Dacula, Georgia, this 30,000 square foot design-build project serves as a library for the Gwinnett County Public Library system. The project was awarded LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council, incorporated an “Art in Architecture” award, received Honorable Mention for Excellence in Sustainability by the U.S. Green Building Council, and was featured in Construction Leaders Today (Winter 2012 edition).

    “It took collaboration between the library, architects of Precision Planning, Inc., Garrard Construction Group, and Gwinnett County Department of Support Services, and Gwinnett County Public Library’s Hamilton Mill branch to achieve LEED certification.” – Gwinnett Forum, February 25, 2010

  • Located in Oxford, Georgia, this 8,400 square foot design-build project was for a City Hall building commissioned by the City of Oxford. The building, which consists of brick, metal panel, stucco, and curtain wall exterior, was completed in record time and was built to Georgia Peach Green Building standards in energy efficiency and sustainable construction.

  • Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this $52.8 million dollar project was the renovation of an existing four-story building including new interior spaces, new ceilings, lighting, painting, flooring, and the addition of restrooms to the second and third floors. The project also restored the existing auditorium to its original design, including refurbishing of the seating. The exterior façade of the building also received extensive restoration. Approximately 186,000 square feet of new space was added to include a media center, radio station, performing arts, visual arts, and black box theaters. The project also included a new gymnasium and gymnastics gym.

  • Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this nearly 95,000 square foot school project is a new two-story facility and will contain 825 students in grades pre-kindergarten to five.

  • Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this facility is a dedicated visual performing arts academic magnet school that serves approximately 700 - 750 students in grades six to eight. The new facility of approximately 115,000 square feet includes Core Academic, Media Center, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Career & Technology Education, Administration, Student Services, Student Dining, Food Service, and Custodial and Maintenance areas. During construction, Baton Rouge was impacted by two major hurricanes, Katrina and Rita. Supplies along the Gulf Coast became scarce, and the area suffered extended loss of power. The project lost workers to FEMA efforts, yet the school opened on time and at budget.

  • Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this school project was a complete renovation and modernization of a 30,693 square foot structure that was built in 1922. It also included a 46,187 square foot addition to the school site. The property had to be expropriated and a street was relocated in order to build the addition portion of the school where the original street had been. The purchase of surrounding properties had to be negotiated and finalized to allow for this expansion. The new school consists of 36 classrooms, state of the art media center and computer lab, and a large multi-purpose area with a stage.

Sustainability

We want to be good stewards, not only of our clients’ resources, but of the earth’s natural resources. We take pride in our commitment to sustainable building and the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Program. We employ estimators and project managers who are LEED AP accredited, providing a team for our clients  that can support any level of green construction. The building that our office is located in was built by Garrard and also received LEED Gold certification. We utilize sustainable practices in our daily office operations and incorporate green principles on projects in every way we can without costing our clients money.
